UConn Marketing Society Membership Benefits

The UConn Marketing Society is committed to expanding students’ knowledge of marketing while fostering academic and professional growth. Active members gain access to leadership opportunities, professional development events, and recognition within the society. Open to all UConn students, regardless of major or year, the Society offers:

  • Engagement with industry professionals through Guest Speaker events and biweekly Meetings on Wednesdays from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM in BUSN 227
  • Networking opportunities through the Society’s LinkedIn group & Mentorship Program
  • Practical marketing experience through collaborative Case Competitions
  • Opportunities to develop leadership skills by serving on the Executive Board
  • Build meaningful relationships with fellow members who share a passion for marketing
  • A Marketing Society graduation cord for seniors who attend at least 8 meetings during the academic year

Membership Requirements & Dues

To become and remain a member, students must:

  • Come to a UConn Marketing Society Meeting
  • Attend at least 4 meetings per semester to remain an active member
  • Pay $5 dues each semester (can be paid online or collected at meetings)
    • All members are required to pay a $5 due per semester. Dues go towards events, snacks for meetings, and more to benefit your experience in the Marketing Society!
    • Membership dues are required to be on the Marketing Society mailing list, which includes more information about meetings, events, guest speakers, and case competitions. ​
