Megan Vacca
President
A senior majoring in Marketing with a concentration in Digital Media, serving as President of the UConn Marketing Society, a role she has held for the past three semesters after previously serving as Secretary. She gained professional experience as a USGA P.J. Boatwright Intern with the Metropolitan Golf Association and currently serves as VP of Communications for UConn Women in Business, further developing her marketing and leadership skills.

Isabella D’Attilo
Vice President
A sophomore majoring in Management, serving as Vice President of the UConn Marketing Society, having previously served as Secretary. She is exploring interests in marketing and broader business initiatives. On campus, she is a part of The Werth Innovators Program, working alongside her cohort to gain entrepreneurship skills and create something she is passionate about.

Jillian Ganim
Secretary
A junior pursuing a dual degree in Marketing and Spanish with a minor in Global Studies, serving as Secretary of the UConn Marketing Society, having previously served as Treasurer. She gained professional experience in workplace relations and corporate operations as an Employee and Labor Relations Intern at Lockheed Martin and has also participated in case competitions, analyzing operational strategy and proposing actionable growth opportunities.

Alyssa Pollak
Treasurer
A sophomore majoring in Marketing, serving as Treasurer for the UConn Marketing Society, managing the organization’s budget to support events. She is further exploring her marketing interests through involvement in the Conference and Member Engagement Committees for UConn Women in Business. She gained professional experience volunteering for a capital fundraising campaign, supporting outreach and campaign communications in collaboration with consultants at Guidance in Giving, Inc.

Susan Hackett
Website Manager
A senior majoring in Marketing with a concentration in Digital Media and Analytics, serving as Website Manager for the UConn Marketing Society, designing and developing the official site to strengthen the Society’s digital presence and advance its goals. She is also an instructional assistant for upper level courses and has experience in social media marketing.

Heidi Bailey
Society Advisor & Professor
The Faculty Advisor for the UConn Marketing Society, bringing 27 years of private sector experience at the LEGO Group, where she led global teams and managed brands. She joined the UConn School of Business in 2018 as a Visiting Instructor and currently teaches Marketing, and previously taught Product Management and “Tools for Professional Success” as a Lecturer at UMass Amherst.
Join the UConn Marketing Society E-Board
Marketing Executive Board applications open during the final month of the academic year. An official interest form will be sent out to all active members via email and announced during meetings. This form will outline the available positions, responsibilities, and application requirements.
Positions and Responsibilities
- President: Oversees all organizational activities, leads E-Board meetings, sets agendas, and serves as the primary representative of the society.
- Vice President: Supports the President, manages internal communications, and assists in planning events and initiatives.
- Treasurer: Manages the society’s budget, tracks spending, and handles funding requests or reimbursements.
- Secretary: Takes meeting minutes, maintains records, ensures timely communication with members, maintains society social media accounts, and creates presentations for meetings
Qualifications
Required:
- Must be an active member of the UConn Marketing Society
- Must be able to commit to regular E-Board meetings and responsibilities throughout the academic year
Preferred:
- Relevant marketing experience (e.g., social media, content creation, event planning, branding, analytics, etc.)
- Academic major or minor in Marketing or a related business field
- Prior leadership experience (on- or off-campus)
Application Process
- Applications are submitted through an online interest form (link will be shared near the end of the Spring semester)
- The form includes space to indicate your preferred position, describe your qualifications, and share why you’re interested
- Select applicants may be invited to an interview with current board members
Selection Process
- Executive Board members are selected by a panel consisting of current board members and a society advisor
- This is not a general election; members are not required to vote or nominate candidates
- Final decisions are based on applicant qualifications, involvement, and leadership potential
Terms of Service
- Elected officers commit to serving for one full academic year
- At the end of the term, board members may choose to reapply for their position or a different role
- Returning E-Board members are reviewed by the selection committee and reappointed based on performance and commitment
